Our story begins in the foothills of Mount Fuji, with a quiet reverence for our forefathers. It was there we found our name, Yamaze (山風), the mountain wind that carries their enduring spirit from one world to another.
As a Japanese immigrants, we wanted to close the distance, sharing a piece of our culture that is quiet, simple, and true. We exist to bring you exceptional tea from small, hidden farms in Japan. Places where tradition isn't a memory, but a way of life.
A Story Centuries in the Making
The soul of our tea is found in the hands of the farmers. We partner with families who have cultivated the same foothills for as many as seventeen generations, honoring a legacy that began long before us.
For them, quality is a philosophy, found in the courage to do things the hard way. They choose slower, more difficult paths, using precious first-harvest leaves for a flavor so pure you can taste their devotion
